Jon Marans' practice focuses on the representation of public and private businesses and individuals in general corporate and commercial matters, such as mergers and acquisitions, business formation, contract drafting, real estate, finance, intellectual property transactions, venture capital debt and equity matters, risk management, and general business counseling. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Mr. Marans has served in the Philadelphia Volunteers for the Indigent Program and as Finance Chair of Organ Donors are Heroes, a regional organ and tissue donation organization. In addition to his community activities, he has participated in multiple educational presentations, including lecturing entrepreneurs on corporate structure, asset protection and other business law issues.

In 2005, 2006 and 2011, Jon was selected as a “Rising Star” by Philadelphia Magazine’s “Pennsylvania Super Lawyers.”


Prior Experience

From 2010 to 2014, Jon was a member of the Business Transactions department at Powell Trachtman Logan Carrle & Lombardo, from 2005 to 2009, Jon was a member of the Business and Real Estate departments in the Philadelphia office of Hangley Aronchick Segal, Pudlin & Schiller, and, from 2002 to 2005, he was a member of the Corporate and Securities practice group in the Philadelphia office of Wolf Block Schorr & Solis-Cohen. 


 Education

Jon graduated magna cum laude from the Villanova University School of Law in 2002 and is a member of the Order of the Coif. While in law school, he served as Managing Editor of Student Works of the Villanova Sports and Entertainment Law Journal and as a member of the Honor Board. Jon received his undergraduate degree, with High Distinction, from the Pennsylvania State University in 1997 and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa.
